Handbalance Workshop - October 5th

In this playful workshop will explore the dynamics of inversions and arm balances along with fun transitions. Through the practice of balance and stability we will integrate strength building exercises with a small yoga sequence to prepare the body and mind to work together. Students will learn fun tips and tricks to build up core and arm strength in order to properly approach these yoga postures safely. Poses will include, Kakasana (crow pose), bhujapidasana, Adho Mukha Vrksasana (handstand pose), Pincha Mayurasana (forearm balance) and more. We encourage all students to come with an open heart and be ready to explore what your amazing body is capable of. This practice is suitable for all levels. Hope to see you on the yoga mat!

Have you ever wondered what a true Vinyasa class really is? Or how to actually practice Sun Salutations?
In this introductory workshop we will examine the sun salutation (A, B and classic). The instructor will assist in personal modifications specifically for you and your body so you can feel comfortable joining any vinyasa or “flow” practice.
Limited space is available as I will direct individual attention to each posture to meet the needs of your body.

In these 45-minute classes, children and their family members will explore yoga & mindfulness through play. Activities include: songs, games, yoga poses for releasing big energy, yoga poses for relaxation, affirmations for families, and mindfulness games and stories. Classes suitable for children ages 3.5-6 years old (older and younger siblings welcome for additional charge of $2.00).

In this two hour workshop we will be breaking down this challenging
posture. Using specific exercises designed to bring awareness to your unique body and helping us break from poor patterns of movement that may have developed.
We will introduce the basic anatomy of the pose, modifications and techniques specific to ensure proper alignment during this challenging asana.

Come learn and have some fun during this joyful season. We will go over the basics of Japa Meditation while making our own mala( a simple string of beads used in Japa Meditation). We will practice a bit of silence while stringing the beads. After we are done we will all sit together and practice a Japa meditation using our new mala beads.
This workshop includes materials to make one mala necklace of 108 beads.
Please feel free to bring anything special for your mala.
